SCH IN 2 DAYSS!!

Oh my goodness!!
sch is starting in 2 days n i'm hafing nervous jittersss!!!

right now i only know like 1 person in d whole level...i only haf 1 fren..so basically i'm starting frm scratch..
n i bet i'm like d only new comer to yr 13 ok..i mean its like
yr 13= j2...who in d RIGHT mind would actually go into a new sch for j2?! i heard that there r lots of yr 12s joining..i juz hope that i'm SO not d only one..

plus remember i told u i had NO skirt..so that means i haf to wear any black skirt..thank goodness my cousin (whom i don't even know...n yes..i juz found out that i haf 2 cousins in nz) lent me some long black skirts of hers..or else i haf to wear my SUPER SHORT one..gross

oh yah..on wed i start sch. d next day is some leadership training camp for us yr 13s.. n on fri is d camp for d yr 12s cos yr 13s n yr 12s r d seniors..so that means i get fri off!! hahaha.. n d following week on mon is a public holiday...heard that its called Waitangi day...some weird day to mark d Maoris signing some treaty yrs ago..haha..

and guess wat??! we r loaned txt books..we don't BUY them..we borrow them..n when d exams r nearing d sch takes them away..gosh..i think i haf to photocopy d whole txt book to make sure i pass..
u noe pple start collecting credits frm yr 11 in d NCEA (national exam) for uni entrance...u haf to at least get 42 credits..n i haf like wat...less than 1 yr to get 42 or more since i'm entering d last yr!! i mean..OH MY gosh..probably is so gonna be stressful..n it doesn't help that i forgot basically wat i learnt in j1...ahhh!!!!

oh yah.. CNY was spent slaving away unpacking..wiping stuff n getting all hot n sweaty..it was SO SAD...we didn't even visit anyone n i didn't get any angbaos!!! ahhhhH!!!!

i so miss cny in s'pore..i wanna go back!!
back to cj..back to my HOME HOME HOME!!!


okok..so i'm over reacting alittle..BUT STILL!! gahhh..need to get a hold on myself..

oh yes..i'm so apprehensive about my classmates...most of them r angmohs..n i feel so weird making frens wif them..well asians no prob ( well..s'poreans i guess ).

Yesterday was feeling anti social..so juz pulled a black face while eating lunch wif my parnts' frens..probably shouldn't haf done that..but i juz didn't feel friendly at that time..so NOT me...maybe i didn't like d company too?? oh well..muz be friendly muz be friendly muz be friendly!! ahhhhhh...

Long time no blog! Sorry...

Hey pple!
Sorry for not blogging for a looong time..
been really busy unpacking..but FINALLY the house Looks like a home!
all d furniture's in place...n my room's v. nice.. i discovered that i had SO much stuff ok..n SO little storage space...so my room's like v. squashy now..
My aunt came to stay wif us for 10 days..she left yesterday...was a really great help to us by helping us unpack.. so when she left i was really sad..my mum cried when she was at d departure hall...n i really really felt like crying cos smone so familiar was gonna go back but instead i laughed..can u believe it..i LAUGHED..but deep down inside i so wanted to scream..i guess its juz my way of covering my emotions..

oh well..afterthat was better..but still felt kinda weird..like now her bed is empty..so yeah.. u noe i really wish i had a fren with me now..it would really REALLY do me good.

anyhow..2 days back i went to buy my uniform frm my sch..d seniors wear a different uniform.. i had to buy a blazer wich costs like 170 bucks! n a blouse n skirt..gosh.. u noe d smallest size of d blouse is still too big for me..n when i tried on size 10 of d skirt..it nearly dropped off when i tried to jump which meant its TOO loose for me! Heard that d smallest size is onli coming in 3 weeks so i haf to wear any black skirt..sheesh...

Today we had a chinese new yr dinner wif all d Singaporeans n Malaysians we knew.. got to make a WHOLE table of frens..wich is really cool..its SO fun making frens u noe..though i might take abit of time wif d ang mohs.. but i got invited to some outings..starting frm tmr..so maybe my life won't be so boring after all..
anyway..today i had to wash underwear!! yuck..u noe i scrubbed till d skin on my knuckles came off n blood came out..it hurts alot when it comes into contact with water..n now i haf a WHOLE list of house chores to do..which is every sat..i haf to clean my shower area..my own underwear..yucks..wipe n vaccum my own room n d living room..its SO sad ok..since tmr is CLEANING day..i wish i had a maid.. sigh..i nv appreciated it but now i do..

Tmr i get to move into my new house!! FINALLY!!!

tmr is THE day i move into my new house!! YAY!!! finally i get d com ALL to myself..d TV ALL to myself n privacy..haha..no more worrying about eating tidbits too..no need to ask anyone wat to do anymore..TOTAL FREEDOM!! WHOOHOO!!
yeshyesh..i am glad..oh boy am i glad!! hahahaa..

okok so maybe today wasn't that exciting..i mean d past few days haf been springcleaning d house...using gross towels to wipe cabinets, cupboards, doors, walk in wardrobes wif lemony ajax sprays isn't wat i call fun..its actually kinda disgusting.. doesn't help that i'm too tall (okok..mayb it does..when it comes to reaching high up places) n that i haf to practically crawl into those cupboards to wipe them..often getting stuck or banging my head in d process..ohwelll...i take it that its good experience to be a good housewife right? In everything give thanks...yep..but smtimes that's hard considering half d time i was moaning n grumbling cleaning d already cleaned house that d previous owners took pains to do.. (can't help it..my mum's super clean..wat can i say..)
anyway after continuing d cleaning which we left off frm yesterday n after yes..another fight wif mum..finally got a chance to doze off in d car.

also got to meet my neighbours a few days ago.. they're really nice pple! my neighbour on d left is this woman wif 2 daughters.. both go to Elim sch..well d elder one has since graduated..
n u noe alot of pple haf such nice comments on Northpark ave road..
found out that they haf this security watch group consisting of d neighbours themselves..cos u noe my mum was fiddling wif d alarm n it accidentally went off (so loud according to my mum) n all d neighbours came running to see whether d house was ok..quite embarrassing but really sweet of them..i mean i hafn't met such dedicated pple in S'pore who care even for neighbours whom they hafn't even met at all..haha..
i mean if d car alarm or house alarm went off..we would probably be like..there goes another faulty alarm..can't they switch it off?! but in nz its kinda different..well at least on my street. Really feel v. blessed to haf found such a splendid home wif a pleasant environment.. Thanks God!

Anyway tmr is gonna be one hectic day..movers will be coming in to load our contents frm d container.. was deciding n debating wif my parnts where would all d furniture go.. I'll probably not haf d com for like 2 to 3 days cos i haf to set it up n subscribe for internet which costs 40 bucks a month!! so ex..haiya..

Oh yes..i really hope d pple that matter to me read this n go tag...n i hope they hafn't forgotten about me cos i hafn't forgotten about them...

my 1st hair cut in NZ!

Hey pple!

Today was my 1st hair cut ever since i came here! My parnts n i went to this hairstylist who's actually frm mainland china..went to her house to cut..
I tell u i was like saying my prayers ok.. was SO scared that she'll cut wrongly den i'll loook like crap n be embarrassed for LIFE! In d car on d way i was like praying to God..like commiting d hair cutting session to Him..
When we got there..she cut my hair..n i was giving her all sorts of directions like..i want it layered, thin..d top muzn't be flat!..n d back muz be wispy! hahaha.. in d end it came out better than i expected although its not as good as my previous hairstylist.. d top was a bit flat..not d volume i expected..but still..i didn't look like shit right? So that should be fine =D

Anyway when i was bathing i got a shock of my life..i was like WHERE'S MY RIGHT EARRING?!?! apparently it had mysteriously disappeared..after searching d toilet floor n finding no signs of it.. i suddenly remembered that mayb it could haf dropped in d hair salon..so got my mum to drive there wif me to find it. I was thinking..this is like finding a needle amongst a haystack..or u could say an earring amongst a hairstack..haha.. so i was like praying like siao.
Miraculously when we got there..d lady said that she found my earring juz as she was about to throw d pile of hair away! WOW..God IS good!
N its not d 1st time i lost my earrings too..1st few times were in d shower.. n all d time i found it that is..after praying. God really answers prayers..n He did it again this time! I was like..THANKYOU God..at d same time thinking that my earring was INVINCIBLE..or u could say INDESTRUCTIBLE..hahaha! well..not quite..i should be more careful nxt time.

Anyway I'm moving into my new house nxt mon. Tmr is d Inspection day n i get to choose my room! yayness!

A summary of my South Island Trip

NEW ZEALAND aka. AOTEAROA (maori) ~ Land of the Long White Cloud

Hey pple..
I've decided to summarise d whole of 19 days of my trip! I tell u its SO hard cos there's so much i wanna tell u guys but its SO tedious to type 19 entries n moreover its SO long that it will BORE u guys to death. So i'm cutting d story short *everyone breathes a sigh of relief*. hehe

Anyway we set out frm Auckland n travelled a gruelling 10 hrs to Wellington which is located at d tip of North Island before taking d ferry to South Island Picton. Afterthat we arrived in Nelson (which is a small town..about d size of S'pore's orchard road)..looked around some shops..nth much. The nxt day i got to go Salmon Fishing! It was really fun..learnt how to cast my rod properly but i didn't catch anything..u see one got away! =( but i helped to reel in my dad's fish all by myself. Afterthat we had smoked salmon n sashimi! haha..poor fish. Day 4 i visited Hoglund Art Glass centre..saw how glass beads were made..really cool! Next we went to the Buller George Swing Bridge, d longest swingbridge in NZ! 160 high! it was quite freaky..haha..later we went to Cape Foulwind where d waves were so strong that d foam that seemed thru d rocks looked like latte..haha. The next day we stopped at Punakaiki Pancake Rocks to see d beautifuul view of d literally flat rock n blowholes.

Day 6..it was christmas day but some how i didn't really feel d spirit of christmas..anyway we tried to walk to this Famous Glazier called Franz Josef Glazier but we didn't get to actually BE there cos it was raining..we saw it frm afar. To make it up we hiked up Lake Matheson..and could see d amazing view of the Southern Alps. We also trekked up the mountain where Fox Glazier was.. it was a really cool experience! Day 7 we went to PUZZLE WORLD! i tell u its an amazing place! Its actually this place where there's a 2 storey adult maze, illusions, holograms n puzzles to work on. I completed d maze faster den all d rest..n i actually felt smart..smth which i rarely feel..haha. N there was this illusion room there where ur a dwarf at one end of d room n a giant at d other..its cos d floor's sloping down! haha..
Day 8 to 10..we r finally in Queenstown! The MAJOR tourist attraction in NZ! The 4 days we were there was d bestest time i had in d whole holiday! Queenstown's my best place in NZ! I got to go on d FAMOUS Shotover Jetboat..flew on a Helicopter n got to drive d Luge (smth like a go-cart)..which was quite exhilarating..haha.. I also got to go to d Deer park where i fed d deer n goats! So cute ok..but d deers were v. timid..kept running away.. On Day 10 Thurs was my last day in Queenstown. We passed Arrowtown n headed to Omarama. We stopped at this small town called Twizel which literally means Town of Trees! I think d name Twizel is SO cute..haha..i'll probably name my pet if i haf one..haha
We also saw Mount Cook.. d highest mountain in NZ n d only mountain which has snow all yr round! It looked v. majestic n beautiful! Afterthat we passed Lake Pukaki which was almost crystal clear that u could see a nearly perfect mirror image of d mountains n d clouds! Oh yes..u noe i've noticed alot of REAL possum fur n skin sold in tourist shops..n i was like oh man!! so cruel! but guess wat..they're pests n r destroying NZ's kiwi birds n plant life so afterthat i was like KILL MORE POSSUMS!!! hahaaa..

Day 11.. Today we arrived in Dunedin..this BIG BIG city.. I went to see the University of Otago..where Mel's studying.. U see i'm trying to decide which uni i wanna go to.. Unfortunately it was close but Mel brought us around to see it..I tell u d buildings r SO old n d campus is scattered everywhere so its hard to get around plus its SO cold there. Went to Larnach Castle n to d Albatross n Penguin Colony too. We even went up this road in Dunedin called Baldwin Rd..its d STEEPEST road in d WORLD! hahaha..it was quite scary going down hill..haha like ur on a cliff or smth..

Day 16 Wed.. We r now in Christchurch..our Final destination before we drive all d way back to Picton to catch d ferry to North Island. We went on d tram which brought us around d whole city of Christchurch. Later we went Punting..which is actually sitting on d this small boat in d river n letting some guy peddle it for u..d water's really shallow though.. Later we went to d Art Centre which was some old sch built in d 1800s.. there were many shops but d best was d FUDGE COTTAGE SHOP! i even go to see how they make fudge..real interesting n tried so many kinds of fudges till i was positively SICK of it.. Next we went to d Cathedral Square..icon of Christchurch..its really old n stuff but v. big. Lastly we paid a visit to d Art Gallery where i saw modern day art n many paintings dated back to d 17th Century! It was really an eye opener.
Day 17 Thurs.. The last day in Christchurch was spent looking at d Uni of Canterbury. Its really nice n homely..might consider going there to study. Guess wat..today was quite an awful day! We couldn't find anywhere to stay since all d motels were shut cos it was late..so we decided to travel back to Picton but d motels there were closed too! So we ended up sleeping in d car n i had to brush my teeth in d petrol kiosk..wat an experience!

Day 18 ( 6th Jan ) Fri.. woke up at 5.30 am to catch d early ferry where we arrived in Wellington. There i went to d Uni of Victoria sch of design to take alook..somehow didn't like it v. much..now i don't know whether design is for me or not..v. confused as to wat to take..
Day 19 Sat.. This is d last day of our holiday! Frm Wellington headed to Napier. We went to NZ aquarium in Napier n d high light was seeing d Kiwi Birds! Endangered u noe! ahha..
it took us about 6 n a half hrs frm Napier back to Auckland..really long n it was d shortest route we took..u can see that i travelled alot in d car..so grateful for my mp3 player! haha..

Anyway in all i Kinda enjoyed d trip..got to know d Tans better n learnt some stuff along d way too.. i also got to reflect n think about stuff that happened to me in Singapore which i was too busy to in d past.. it was good cos i got to see things clearer..


Hope u like my account of d trip..it might be too lengthy..but i tried my best to shorten it! Sorry if i bored u guys to death. But to those who took d time to read it, thank u for ur patience n for even being bothered to read it!

i'm FINALLY back frm my South Island trip...yay!! finally smth familiar even though its not my home.
eh..i wrote 19 days of my holiday of South Island..there were so many things i learnt n saw ...n i wanna share it wif all of u guys.. erm..dunno how to sum it up into a summary so i was thinking about typing each entry of each day into d blog..but its v. long n might bore u guys to death..
